The Children’s Hospital & The Institute of Child Health, Lahore provides free Health Care, medication and state of art diagnostic facilities to children under the age of 18 years. There are as many as thirty eight different specialties related to medical, surgical and diagnostic fields that are available under one roof. Infact due to high standard of treatment available at this prestigious institute paediatric patients are referred from all over the Pakistan as a result of this the number of beds had to be increased from 250 to 418 in the already available facility. Infact after the completion of the under construction New Indoor Block the Hospital capacity would be further enhanced by 650 beds thereby increasing the scope of child health care offered at this institute. This ever increasing popularity and repute is attributed to a dedicated and highly trained workforce of doctors and paramedical staff working in this institution.  Different community based programmes like the mother and child health programme and immunization programme have also been undertaken at the Children’s Hospital & The Institute of Child Health, Lahore thereby improving the infant mortality and under 5 years mortality rate in Pakistan.
